Visualising Climate 2026 Conference (“Conference”) is organised by ECMWF, University of Miami, CSIC, BSC, and BC3. The registration process is managed by the University of Miami, which acts as the primary data controller.

Your data will be shared with the organising partners (ECMWF, CSIC, BSC, BC3) for event management purposes only.

International data transfer

As the University of Miami is located in the United States of America, you agree for your personal data to be transferred outside the European Economic Area.

At present, the University of Miami is not listed as a certified participant under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

By registering for the Conference, you acknowledge and consent to such transfers, which will be carried out using appropriate safeguards in compliance with GDPR and applicable U.S. data protection laws.

This transfer is based on your explicit consent and will follow GDPR and other applicable legal requirements, including the fact that the Registration Provider holds an active self- certification under the EU - U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Data retention

Your data will be retained for 12 months after the end of the Conference, unless legal obligations require longer storage.

The information collected and processed when accessing our website will be retained for 5 years.
